Placement of machine embroidery design
Attractive placement of machine embroidery design on a project is critical in order to achieve a professional appearance. There are several ways to position and mark embroidery designs so that they can be placed exactly as desired on your embroidery project. Along with the merhods listed below, some embroidery software (Wilcom DecoStudio, Tajima Pulse Maestro, Brother PE-DESIGN. BERNINA ARTISTA. Wings, Compucon...) allow you to print design templates.
Method 1
If the embroidery design card or disk comes with acetate or translucent templates, placement is simply a matter of moving the template around on the fabric until a pleasing position is found. Most design templates indicate the starting point and the center of the machine embroidery design; using a fabric marker or chalk (or special chalk for sewing), mark these on the fabric. After hooping the fabric and attaching the hoop to the embroidery (sewing-embroidery) machine, use the positioning features of the machine to align the needle with the marked starting or center point on the fabric.
